Responsibilities

  • Evaluates nutrition needs of the patient/client and plans appropriate intervention based on current medical and nutrition status. Provides nutrition education to patients/clients/health care personnel as conforms with and is accepted by the ADA standards with constraints of Joint Commission and NJ State health regulations.
  • Develops interdisciplinary care plans and documents MDS within established time frames.
  • Provides oversight for Dining Services activities including sanitation and menu management.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree qualifying for ADA membership and registration.
  • Completion of an ADA approved internship/CUP program including therapeutic and administrative curriculum.
  • At least one year hospital clinical experience with ability to teach and lecture.
  • Membership in ADA and registered from Commission of Dietetic Registration.
  • Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team.
