Responsibilities

  • Provides routine clerical, receptionist and data entry support for the facility and for the Administration department.
  • Acts as facility front desk receptionist with some light typing. 
  • Greets and assists visitors and residents, interacts with residents, and handles heavy phone traffic.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate, equivalency or in progress with additional training in secretarial skills.
  • Three to five years secretarial experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 50 wpm. Computer experience including word processing.
  • Ability to use standard office machines including copiers, multi-line telephones and facsimile machines.
  • Writing ability with a working knowledge of proper grammar, spelling, punctuation and sentence structure.
  • Knowledge of business math.
  • Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team.
