Health Unit Coordinator will be required to work every other weekend from 7am to 3pm and weekdays from 3pm to 11pm.
Provides receptionist, data entry and clerical services to nursing units. Attends system-wide orientation and nursing orientation.
Licenses and certifications:
Basic Life Support required within six (6) weeks of hire and renewals obtained every two (2) years.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of medical terminology helpful. Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
Works in a normal hospital environment with frequent exposure to sick or injured patients.
Daily potential for exposure to blood and/or body fluids.
