Provides services to residents with the goal of fulfilling their nutritional needs. Conducts assessments, development of care plans, counseling residents regarding nutrition, and evaluation of adequacy. Develops nutrition interdisciplinary goals, annual MDS and quarterly updates. Monitors Food Service Operations. Conducts Dining Service sanitation reviews. Serves as resource for Dining Service In service and Quality Improvement Programs.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
One to three years’ Clinical Nutrition and Long Term Care experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Registration from the Committee of Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team. Experience with MDS and Dining Services oversight.
Normal office and resident unit environment with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures and commercial kitchen operation.
Potential for exposure to blood and/or body fluids.
