Lead MRI Technologist oversees the technical staff in the designated section(s) of the department and is acting MRSO. The Lead assumes responsibility for the safety of their patients and colleagues in their designated work area and takes corrective action when necessary to maintain such safety. The MRI Lead oversees technical procedures, patient care, and workflow to ensure safe and effective patient care and acts as a role model and facilitator working in collaboration with all level of departmental personnel.

Provides essential support to medical imaging technologists and ensures smooth patient flow within the imaging department. This role focuses on patient care, room readiness, and operational support to maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment.  

The MRI Technologist works under the direction and supervision of radiology leadership and Lead MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures at a high technical level not requiring constant supervision. The Technologist assumes responsibility for the safety of their patients and colleagues in their designated work area and takes corrective action when necessary to maintain such safety.
