Registers and schedules patients according to established procedures. Pre-screens patients to determine accurate financial responsibilities. Secures all legal consents and insurance information and obtains pre-certification authorization as appropriate.

Registered Nurse administers nursing care to assigned patients that is in accordance with ANA standards, the NJ Practice Act, Joint Commission and established hospital and Nursing Department policy and procedures.The selected candidate will assist the physicians in various types of Stress Testing, provide intravenous IV Therapy including IV insertion, and assist with general patient care. The candidate may also be asked to assist in other Cardiac Depts as needed.

Performs comprehensive ultrasound exams. Follows established protocols to verify, plan, set up, perform, and report appropriate examinations. Verifies identity and informs and observes patient during procedure to ensure patient education, cooperation, and safety. Assists in continuing quality assurance and performance improvement.

Performs routine and emergency Nuclear Medicine procedures. Responsible for mentoring and training students in a cooperative learning environment.
